Who we are
We are a social club of international women (and their families) living in Asturias. We share a common love of ‘el paraiso natural’, the culture and the heritage of Asturias. Some of us have lived in Asturias for many years (Spaniards and non-Spaniards), while others are new to the region. Many of us have children that are living in bilingual families. Some of us have local family, some of us don’t. But what we all have in common is an international aspect to our lives and, whatever our background, we all enjoy making new friends and sharing experiences through the IWCA.
Committee
In February 2015 we elected the first IWCA committee so that we could register as a official non-profit association. The committee and other members manage the club´s events, paperwork and finances. Our thanks go to the following for giving their time voluntarily:

The monthly committee meetings are open to any members who would like to get involved or you can send us your ideas and suggestions by email.

What we do
Regular events
On the second Sunday of every month we have an organised event suitable for families – see our calendar for more information.
Ad hoc events
Keep an eye out for lots of other events that we publicise on our ´news and events´ page or via facebook… and if you would like to organise an event please contact one of our committee members who will be happy to provide advice and help.
Membership
IWC Asturias welcomes women of all nationalities living in Asturias. All our communications, activities and events are in English so only applicants fluent in English are accepted as members – see our membership page for more details.
Find out more and join the club
Come to one of our regular monthly meetings and meet our members. Then, if you would like to join the club, complete an application form and submit it with your membership fee (annual payment of 10€ per family) to one of our committee members. Once your application has been accepted we will add you to our regular e-mail list. Plus, you can follow us on facebook or check out our website for more information.
