There is a charity ramble organized by the Ayuntamiento de Gijon on Sunday, 2 October. This ramble is on the same day and on the same path (Senda Fluvial del Piles) as our bike riding. In consequence, the path will be crowded and it would be more convenient that we choose an alternative itinerary.
On Sunday 2nd October we are planning a fun family picnic and a bike ride along the senda-penafrancia to Deva, in Gijon. This path lead us into a leafly setting on the bank of Peñafrancia stream, where we will find a fabulous riverside vegetation and fantastic examples of the historical, artistic and ethnographic heritage of the área.
We will be meeting in front of El Medio Lleno bar, at the Viesques/Mestas roundabout at 12.30. At lunchtime we will stop for a picnic and some playtime in one of the provided areas on the way. So it is highly recommended to bring your own snacks and drinks
In case of adverse weather conditions, we will meet up at Deva campsite(http://www.campingdeva-gijon.es/) beer garden with covered playground area, instead. – we will keep you updated by FB.
Please note: All children must be accompanied by their parent(s)/ guardian(s) or a responsible adult. IWC Asturias is not responsible for the safety of any child left unattended.
Remember to wear comfortable walking/riding shoes, warm clothes and a raincoat in case it rains a little bit or sun cream and hats if we are lucky with the weather.
